Timothy McLean : The title is kind of ambiguous...

Alyssa : Some people in the comments are like “stay silent GET A LAWYER. Don’t say ANYTHING” and others say “if you don’t talk you look guilty. Bad idea.” Well??? Which one is it???

Huw - wuH : Pro Tip: If a cop starts interrogating you, just start interrogating the cop with all the techniques in this video.

Tim Peters : This is why a lot of innocent people get convicted.

James Baucom : Always request a lawyer

FutureNow : Oh THAT "beat"

I Drop Them : I'd be the type of guy to accidentally confess to something I didn't even do

Khizar Junaid : Five days later... *Why criminals beat cops in the interrogation room* Whoa I got so many likes awesome!

eks dee : why my dad beats me next please.

Damian Rice : thanks for the heads up, i got away with 8 murders for this, subbed!

Coffee Break : To those of you who have asked if the insight in this video comes mostly from personal experience... I need my lawyer first.

Bleach : Me: I want my lawyer *Brings in lawyer* Lawyer: I want my lawyer Me: WTF Lol just imagine

duelinthis : I once sat in an interrogation silently for 4 hours for something I didnt do. The cop got me to eventually talk by accusing me of stealing her pen. When I said "I didnt steal your pen" she came back with "Oh so when I accuse you of something you didnt actually do, you talk". The judge found me guilty based on that... I appealed and they threw out my case. This took me 6 years to fight, all for just saying I didnt take her pen...

NO3- : Just start masturbating in front of the cop

Balthazzarr : Cops are trained to "win" the interrogation, not to get at the truth. They are trained to lie and deceive you through various means, whether it be their demeanor or other subtle characteristics of the environment in which you are being interrogated. And yes, it is legal for them to lie to you. They DON'T care if you are innocent. When it gets to the point in an investigation that someone, i.e. you in this case, is being interrogated, they just want to boost their numbers by getting people to confess, regardless of innocence. It's disgusting, but it's the way it is. The most important thing to remember above all else if you are ever interrogated. The cops are NOT your friends. They don't give a shit about you and will throw you in a hole the first chance they get if it means getting that conviction, regardless of your innocence.

Ryan F : The reason people have confessed to crimes they didn't even commit

Gateway drug : Just bring me food and I‘ll confess anything you want.

Myst Trofh : You dont care about the 10 minute video? I like you.

Dark Gamer : That's why politicians give only one answer to everything- I wanna talk to my lawyer

Alex Cotman : So basically the cops gaslight you.

GetPaidWithKyle : It's real easy to get coerced confessions under these conditions. Long hours answering the same questions over and over for days, little to no sleep, cold hard melt chair starts to hurt, cops telling you they have evidence and that you shouldn't embarrass your family with long trial. and plus if the cops have bad intentions for you all they have to do is get evidence by getting your DNA from sweating and your saliva from cup they gave you during the interview.

Trover19 : “Hello officer! How’s your day?” “GUILTY!”

Tobias Trust : The only thing that you say to a cop is: "I want my lawyer".

Raging Gamer : What if They ask to see the evidence hmmmmm

Megha : im from india and there's no talking here m8 only beating

somerandomguy246 : This is not a bullet proof tip, but from personal experience I think it helps A LOT. Like mentioned cops will deploy all most if not all of these methods, but the second the cop walks into the room, close your eyes, deep breathes through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Yeah you got it, basically meditate. The majority of communication is nonverbal about 60% being body language. Closing your eyes effectively takes away 60% of the cop's psychological assault. Nose breathing in deep breathes in combination with closing your eyes will help calm yourself reducing the impact of the other 40% to maybe 20%. The rest is up to you; while you're meditating just keep repeating to yourself in your mind "I'm innocent". And if he says "look at me when I'm talking to you" or the like simply reply "I'd rather not" or the like. It's not like he can force you to look at his ugly mug. Keep in mind this is only if you refuse to remain silent and wish to engage in a psychological game of cat and mouse although you still can totally do this after you've invoked your rights. Good luck and have fun beating them at their own game 👍

Elon Must : Because cops manipulate you to get any type of confession, they are corrupt and need to make deadlines or they get fired.. this leads to the incrimination of innocent people.. cops are just a government funded gang kidnapping people and forcing them into prison

boiwutyousay watupdawg : Cops: we have evidence, so come out and tell the truth or you will have a harsher sentence. YOU KILLED HIM. DID YOU FEEL EMOTIONS? ANGER? PAIN? REMORSE? I KNOW YOUR JUST A PHCKING DEVIANT, ADMIT IT

shan_rocks : Maybe in the U.S they beat suspects in interrogation rooms, but not in Canada. The U.S uses the Reid interrogation model in which they are harsh and convict you of the crime (whether you did it or not) and force a confession out of the suspect. After many years of research by Criminal Justice experts on police interrogation techniques, Canada and Britian, in a joint effort started using the PEACE model, which stands for Preparation and Planning, engaging and explaining, account, closure and evaluation. This model is very passive. Whether the suspect did the crime or not, the objective of this model is not to get a confession (the police could care less), the objective, is to disprove or approve of the suspects accounts of what happened based on the evidence from the crime scene(s). Since anyone in the interrogation room is "just a suspect" not convicted of anything, the PEACE model has seen better success. It has lessened false confessions and has aided the police, especially in high profile, complex cases to disern exactly how things happened, at what time, and why? Understanding the mens rea (mental intent) behind actions is far more valuable than getting in suspects faces and accusing them of crimes they may or may not have committed. Although, if their is insurmountable evidence connecting a suspect to the crime, like for example, DNA Evidence, CCTV footage, eye-witness accounts from many by-standers, the weapon tracing back to you, fingerprints, blood splatters etc: the police have the ability to withold evidence from you. Meaning they may ask "On October 15th (day of the crime), where were you at 9p.m". The suspect may lie and say "I was at home watching T.V" and then the interrogator will bring forth evidence showing for example, CCTV footage of you entering a convenience store and a recipt of your purchase at 9:07p.m, as the convenience store is just half a block from the crime scene etc. So Canada and Britian sort of use the best of both worlds, the PEACE and Reid method, which has seen greater success than sticking to just one.

soy boy with a big bag of chips and a big heart : I guess batman didnt get the memo

MiYa : *The FBI* wants to know your location

Daniel Vos : Just pull a Mike Ermantraut: "Lawyer" "We don't need that we just want to talk" "Lawyer" "Do you really want to make a big deal out of this?" "Lawyer"

FOX _ : I just looked down at the floor and closed my eyes ignoring what the officer said until it was over i did this so I wouldn't have to make eye contact which would make me nervous and then it could lead to ,e saying some dumb shit

Sofia Lazarev : Next thing you know the government demonetizes the video

ZT Ghost : 1K Dislikes is from cops!

Undisputed Guy with a lawnmower : This what i told a police officer once. "If you have all this evidence on me the. Why are you interrogating me?" I plead the 5th afterwards. Easy.

Nazi Party : Cop: we know you did it..we have evidence Me: no u (Disappears)

xBravox Gaming : Fitting, a coffee ad on a coffee break video.

Hi KllGm : ummmmm.... so if you're actually not guilty and they think guilty do they still know? WAIT! THEY ARE LYING TO US? Imma say that i got hard evidence that the cop was in my house doing crazy things without my knowledge

Cactus Bunny : HOW DID THIS GET IN MY RECOMMENDATIONS?!?

Butter Squad : But this just goes to show that cops dont often look for the true justice, but often just the first and easiest conviction they can get. Granted, of course in the video examples you provide these people were actually guilty, but there are a lot of stories of innocent people who feel trapped and confess to things they didn't do mostly because of that first tactic of "we KNOW without a doubt that you did it." It immediately makes you feel helpless and at that point you ask for a lawyer

Skippy : *Why was this in my recommended*

FutureNow : lol I think he meant GSR test (Gunshot Residue) not GRE.

ZER0 : I'm happy living in germany. In my country, cops may not lie to you.

Saitaina Malfoy : "Lawyer", the ONLY thing you say in this situation, repeat as necessary.

Hoodie - Roblox Trolling : Lol they beat you mentally? Good thing i have strong mental health. And i dont mean that my sanity is very high, its judt hard to break my mind considering the amount of abuse i had as a child.

Scabash 7 : 1.4k police disliked this

DoaA : Cops have 10 1000 IQ playz up their sleaves

Dyed Bliss : Good way to fuk with these bags: Act like your going to confess. Take on the submission pose. Look them straight in the face. Yell I DIDN'T DO IT MAN (in a Tony Montana voice) 😂😂
