Jered Chinnock is the first patient at the Mayo Clinic to have an electrical stimulation device implanted near his spinal cord, which he damaged in a snowmobile accident in 2013. After the accident he was paralysed from the waist down, but with the help of this device and years of physical therapy, he is able to walk with assistance.
