This video originally aired on the VICE News YouTube channel on August 1, 2019. We liked it and wanted to share with you guys here. With wild names like “Rhino 69,” “Black Mamba,” and “Mojo Nights,” so-called “natural” sexual enhancement supplements are a fixture behind the counters of bodegas, gas stations, corner stores, and delis across the country. They're also at the center of a nationwide legal battle being waged by a Texas supplements company called Outlaw Laboratory. Since 2017, Outlaw has sent legal letters to small businesses demanding they stop selling the supplements, and pay a settlement of as much as $14,000, or get sued. And Outlaw has followed through, suing hundreds of stores, as well as several distributors, in at least six states, charging that retailers are selling dangerous and deceptively labeled “natural” sex supplements that may contain illegal pharmaceuticals that the FDA has issued public health notifications over. Outlaw is also claiming that its own sexual enhancement supplement, “TriSteel,” has been damaged by unfair competition. “I remember seeing these products in liquor stores and just kind of didn't think anything about it,” Robert Tauler, a lawyer representing Outlaw in many of their cases, told VICE News. “But in reality it's a national criminal conspiracy taking place in front of everyone's face.” But lawyers representing the small businesses say Outlaw’s tactics are nothing more than a shakedown of small businesses. Lawyer Mark Poe is representing many San Diego stores and is fighting back against Outlaw with a class-action countersuit. “As we started looking at that demand letter, it became clear to us that the demand letter itself was an instance of mail fraud,” he said. “The demand letter sets forth a number of false statements and then demands money from the stores. That's fraud. You cannot make fraudulent statements in exchange for demand of money.” WATCH NEXT: ResERECTION, the World of Male Enhancement Implants -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8auptXYhT80 Click here to subscribe to VICE: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-VICE About VICE: The Definitive Guide To Enlightening Information. Comments

humpty : The lawyer is just mad cause his wiener is too small and the pills offer no results he should be sued by all the store owners in class action for extortion

GrixxlyStrength : Outlaw labratory? Kind of ironic they go to court like that with their name

ILongplayGames : A "hard" look. I see what you did there,VICE

Loch121 : They are slimy for even thinking of this elaborate scam

Brian Alonso : The outlaw guy knows he ain't gonna change shit, anything will hit the streets wether we like it or not. They just want to make as much money as they can before the ship sinks.

Justin Luong : the true hero is the lawyer defending the shop for free. Protecting shops from many locations cost tons of resources and hours of work. And hes getting no pay for it

Matt T. : These pills are fraud, but the lawyer and that law firm are taking advantage of this to bank off it.

Spooky Pookie : No way is that dude real. He’s like a comic book villain

matt purrazzo : The lawyer dosent even know about the company hes supposedly representing

nat lee : The lawyer is a con, much like the "lab" he works for. They are simply pissed cuzzzz they are not getting a cut,and most likely their products are garbage.

chock man : What? A well researched, well edited and overall really well made video, actually shedding light on unethical and illegal practises? Hell yeah vice, keep it up.

Tripp Lile : This is sketchier than a drink from bill cosby

Ginger Ninja : Bro that lawyer for outlaw is a sack of trash, he's one of the reasons there's so many jokes about lawyers in hell

Chris Lambert : Dude is mad because it not ''Natural'' yet he represent a company that sell diet pill .....

NEVER OBEY : You wanna go after big dealers? Go after big pharmaceuticals you'll hit the jackpot with all those dope dealers there!!

Funky Chunk : OutLaw is definitely not clean in this, incredibly shady practice to try and bring small businesses to court

von : That lawyer is blatantly in the wrong. If Outlaw Inc. or him truly cared about stopping false filling or dangerous ingredients, they’d sue the companies in China or look to stop higher up distribution of the pills to the confidence stores. Stop the shakedown

Butter-Flaps McGristle : PLOT TWIST, the lawyer has erectile disfunction!!

Brandon Lester : Well isnt this just sketchy as hell. Using American law to shake people down, who would of thought??

chairshoe81 : the lawyer is literally saul goodman

REM : Oh lord what our world has become

EvaLasta : 0:23 Ice poseidon? Lmao

Daniel Hall : Lawyer: "I remember seeing these in stores and thought nothing about it." No not until that paycheck came a knocking. 💊

Louis Trafford : This is hard to watch

Iluvrocket : If that lawyer isn’t a bastard, he’s doing an excellent job mimicking a bastard.

Kay Kay : These scammers will be in jail very soon. I smell a Netflix special

abdi1983 : Americans love to sue each other.

ShawnDRuth : Can't make it in the business sue other stores that sell similar products to your own.

Fard Rid : Outlaw and their lawyers, found a loophole and a sweet scam.... Scammers 😂😂

Nate H : "They have already got away with it. Our goal is to put a stop to it." jfc, I can't imagine the frustration those business owners must feel.

Heather Mefford : *Sounds like a scummy lawyer and a scummy “natural supplement” company have been extorting small business owners. I think perhaps the company should be facing a LOT of their own lawsuits soon!*

Becky Belmontes : That is bullcrap!!!! Outlaw should be sued to pay back anyone they received money from!!!!

Hector Cortez-aponte-cabrera : My prediction.... Outlaw will pay and pay big. The attorney for outlaw may be reprimanded and possibly sanctioned by the state BAR. Vice certainly did a good job here. It almost seems as if the Outlaw learned of this strategy after they were put into litigation as a result of the liver damage supplement. In sum, I don’t see a good legal future for Outlaw nor the attorney representing them...

jenmygem : that lawyer looks like a typical sleazebag haha

gulag master : Black mamba premium . Turns you into kobe Bryant ,which is basically a "ball's hog" .

Mikey B : This is the beginning of the destruction of small business owner

quaweeguy : "Hard Look" . Well played VICE lol

dviking : OUTLAW needs to be declared a vexatious litigant. Meaning they would need a judges approval to move forward on any future lawsuits.

Grim Reaper : I agree with them. It is a shakedown of small businesses/mom and pop stores and don't have the balls to go after the actual companies producing them. Btw, if you can't compete with your competition, run and cry to the government.

CHILLY MAN : I can't stand the outlaw laboratory lawyer you can obliviously see that he's getting paid off. The hard working class immigrants and local entrepreneurs are getting bullied by a shady company this is wrong.

JD Bloodstone : Mr. Tauler, is your end goal getting disbarred?!? Because this is how you get disbarred.

Mike Skidmore : Lawyers are Total Sleaze Bags ..

FRED_ON_ FACTORY'S : This whole 🌎 is just a lie Fake everything for profit 1.) Laundry detergent 2.) Dish detergent 3.) Cough syrup 4.) Batteries 5.) Shoes 6.) Clothes 7.) Airbags 8.) Tires Y'all get anything that can be packaging or label I think there's a counterfeit Earth somewhere

Akshay S : Most of the people comment without watching full video

track1994 : the name of the store OUTLAW tell you all you need to know about them. they are OUTLAWS and thats what OUTLAWS do they are crooks.

Terrence Vergauwen : I have a hunch the fake pills the stores got from their suppliers originated from those outlaw lab people too, that completes the scam... ;) Those 2 outlaw dudes manufactured the whole thing from the start...

Pat edict : @16:31 look at his eyes. The eyes of a sleazeball.

PatrickCS : I LOVE that Vice has so many of these short docs about all sorts of obscure fascinating topics. Keeps me informed while being a great YouTube black hole to fall into.

L Petillo : lol what a sleezeball
