Comments from Youtube

Peter Green : Reagan is now Trump. Thatcher is now May. Gorbachev is now Putin. Nothing has changed in 32 years.

jockadoobee : I'm sad that this song is still relevant in 2018.

Pacero : I remember when it came out. The beginning of MTV, in the 80`s. Shit, am I getting old???

B. F. : Most important message to human kind: nothing changes. Same shit, different year.

Nowhere Man : This song is still so relevant.. This is still a land of confusion in 2016..

MinatoOnimaru : Phil Collins doesn't look so different from his Human counterpart lol

Cherie Anne Hendrie : for anyone who doesn't know, all of the puppets in the music video are from an old satirical tv show called "Spitting Image" :)

Melina F. R. : I must've dreamed a thousand dreams Been haunted by a million screams But i can hear the marching feet They're moving into the street. Now did you read the news today They say the danger's gone away But i can see the fire's still alight There burning into the night. There's too many men Too many people Making too many problems And not much love to go round Can't you see This is a land of confusion. This is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given Use them and let's start trying To make it a place worth living in. Ooh superman where are you now When everything's gone wrong somehow The men of steel, the men of power Are losing control by the hour. This is the time This is the place So we look for the future But there's not much love to go round Tell me why, this is a land of confusion. This is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given Use them and let's start trying To make it a place worth living in. I remember long ago - Ooh when the sun was shining Yes and the stars were bright All through the night And the sound of your laughter As i held you tight So long ago - I won't be coming home tonight My generation will put it right We're not just making promises That we know, we'll never keep. Too many men There's too many people Making too many problems And not much love to go round Can't you see This is a land of confusion. Now this is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given Use them and let's start trying To make it a place worth fighting for. This is the world we live in And these are the names we're given Stand up and let's start showing Just where our lives are going to.

CraziiDamon : I wonder if those puppets are stored somewhere... I would really like to see them in a museum or something like that.

BvousBrainSystems : Come on, the puppetry in this is goddamn outstanding. So many different puppets, so geniusly designed, and decently animated. The number of those puppets I think is what amazes me the most. These aren't drawings, you can't easily come up with them on the spot according to necessity, you gotta draw them, build them, perform, and some of them are only on screen for fractions of a second.

guelle kanista : World of Confusion.

ravenhill merchant 1968 : too many men, too many people, making too many problems - never truer words said, especially now.

Rifleman Moore : Regan riding a Triceratops is perhaps one of the greatest things I have ever seen.

Robi_CK : 2:17 - I always liked that little nudge to the audience, that there are 2 Phil's puppets - one singing and one drumming.

Jane Metcalfe : Phil Collins thought about suing over his 'Spitting Image' puppet depiction when he must've thought. 'Do you know what? Let's make a video full of 'em and take the p!ss!' Let's face it..no way would they have got away with this if they had used 'real people.' This is the whole point of 'Spitting Image' puppets. It's satire. If you weren't depicted you weren't famous enough! Phil 'got' that, eventually. Also, if you look closely at the video it depicts Phil bashing his drums with his head (something he never did in real life) so this is a send-up of Genesis..and they've gone along with it. It's brilliant. The fact that the tune is relevant to then and now is an added bonus...er..sort of. You are meant to laugh at it though, not get too depressed. However, imagine what 'Spitting Image' would do in this Trump era. They'd have a field day! Nothing's changed!🙄

Huub de Boer : have im good dat Michael Jackson

Bijan Adhikari : I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

RoccoSoundTube : One of the best videos in history.

Roberto Novais : Vídeo clip da hora

twinrg : How sadly relevant this song is up to now!!! People have lost their soul...heart and mind all at once. No more simple, straightforward human feelings, words, deeds...all is going woefully awry, vague, ambivalent, politically correct and insanely cold, almost robotic, devoid of respect and love other than for insatiable SELFISHNESS and masquerade of PRIDE and inflated EGO!!!

Byron Hawk : Welcome to Brexit Britain, departure deal is unknown!

Agnaldo na BR : Que época boa essas músicas não voltam mais no tempo

Time for Music : Anyone else saw MIchael Jackson at 3:46 in the background?

LaceLady's dream : From 3:45 parody of "we are the world" video/song.

Silene Gonçalves : Imagino eu assistindo um show desses , maravilha

Silene Gonçalves : Amo , canta muito , os instrumentos tbm falam , amo , a banda e linda

jurgieleniu : it's 2015 and people still think world is just fine

sandra oliva : que musicon mas magistral el de este grupo y esta cancion es una de mis favorittas por siempre, como critica a los politicos de la guerra fria, la oigo mil veces mas.

Mary Goodnight : Why do I get the feeling this could have been made yesterday. Without some of the colourful characters we have sadly lost along the way.

Axel stunt : Acá un comentario en español que buena música

Miles Jolly : great song, I think the puppets are from Spitting Image which was a satiricial TV show in the UK in the 1980s and 90s, it made fun of basically everyone.

Kostas Vagenas : 2019?????

Meddugnatos Cynewulf Agenarich Silius : "Goody two shoes. Beddy bye boes time again!"

Panopticon : Tony Banks looks like Mick Jagger in this. Just say.

daerick11 : I wish "Spitting Image" came back ! With Trump and the brexit, every week you can make a thousand jokes !

MrPeterpiper1969 : I just saw the version of this by "Disturbed" and I'm feeling very, very sad because nothing at all has really changed has it? I bought this when it came out (I'm 47 now) and my 20 year old son is living in a world that's no different than it was back in 1989 when I was 20. When the Berlin wall fell my dad was full of hope that our generation would be the one that saw a world at peace but now I think it won't happen in my son's lifetime or for that matter his children's if and when they come along. I bet someone could release this in 2043 (when my lad will be 47) and it will STILL be totally relevant. What a crying shame.

Darren Balderson : Wow why don't they make songs thike this any more

Javier San Martin : Muy buen classico.👏👏👏que tiempo geniale los 80/90con la musica. Y cuanto classico mas hay no. Muy buen video👍👍👍

Zeitgeist24_7 : I am not a Genesis or Phil fan (I admire him as a songwriter even if it's not my cup of tea) but this is great! I remember hearing the song but never saw the video - wow! Spitting Image puppets huh?! Wow, brilliant. I read some of the people and historical references and doubly impressed.

super girl : These classic bands will always be gold... Or platinum whichever is more worthy 💕🥇✨🌟

DesertRose122 : VERY relevant song in 2016.

Got Ya : The lyrics are so on point. Unfortunately this song will be relevant until the end. Love you all.

Damian Herrera : 4:30 ¿Michael Jackson? Saludos desde Argentina

RFC3514 : I don't remember Jim Belushi being in Genesis.

Peter Green : 33 years on what has changed? Still got a lunatic in the Whitehouse and a megalomaniac in Downing Street. They should do a remake.

Matt Bailey : Do you like Phil Collins?

No Name : 3:47...oy vey

Marek Krakovský : I LOVE it! One of the best music videos ever done!

ataga : I must have dreamed a thousand dreams Been haunted by a million screams But I can hear the marching feet They're moving into the street Now, did you read the news today?
