Queen B : ...not a black man, not a brown man, not a white man....but a man. At last....someone doesn't make it about colour. What a wonderful speech!!!

Ben Emerson : I’ve never let my schooling get in the way of my education I won't have a problem with you if you aim high and miss, but I will have a real problem if you aim low and hit If you think you can or if you think you can't, you’re right Rather be a hour early then a minute late You are what you repeatedly do, therefore excellence ought to be a habit, not an act You may be tough, but always remember to be kind Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity, pride is the burden of a foolish person If you’re going to do a job, do it right Good isn’t good enough if it can be better, and better isn’t good enough if it can be best I’m not worried you won't be successful, I’m worried that you won’t fail time to time Son, just stand. No matter how rough the sea you keep standing. No matter what you don’t give up It doesn’t matter to me any longer how long I live, what matters to me most is how I live It is never wrong to do the right thing How you do anything is how you do everything Ask yourself every night, how am I living? (Copied and pasted this here so I can find it with ease in the future, you can ignore this)

Chasing The Thunder : At the end of the day ask yourself, *How Am I living?*

notareal nameblah : I’ve never let my schooling get in the way of my education I won't have a problem with you if you aim high and miss, but I will have a real problem if you aim low and hit If you think you can or if you think you can't, you’re right Rather be a hour early then a minute late You are what you repeatedly do, therefore excellence ought to be a habit, not an act You may be tough, but always remember to be kind Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity, pride is the burden of a foolish person If you’re going to do a job, do it right Good isn’t good enough if it can be better, and better isn’t good enough if it can be best I’m not worried you won't be successful, I’m worried that you won’t fail time to time Son, just stand. zTrophyz : Am I the only one who watches this everyday?

Daniel Osborne : This just ripped me apart, even with the humor element. I couldn't handle the Trina situation, hit me hard !...God Bless

Primary : Why can’t we have more people like him...

Christian Tamanu : Not a black man, brown man or even white man.. but a MAN 😔😢

The Reelist : I knew I should've dropped out in the 3rd grade.

Steve l : Damn he had a great father. What an amazing speech.

David Peterson : 2.4k people disliked this video because it made them cry.. i cant think of any other reason.

Cave Man : when I dropped out of school because of bullying, after two years I transferred to a new school and they put me into the lowest class with expected lowest IQ. After a year I topped my batch and perfecting every subject I could at least 6 subjects per quarter and winning several quiz bees. And some losers thought I was cheating. The next year I skipped 1 level. That's the first time a girl was approaching me and giving gifts (which I sincerely regretted, because I ignored her because I'm too focused on my revenge). Standards and status symbols are jokes. A mere display of illusion. Fake people attach during your good times while legit persons stay on both high and low of your life. I will rather be open to other people who I think HAS POTENTIAL regardless of what society thinks of their status symbol. It all starts with your thinking and defines who you are AND NO ONE WILL DEFINE YOURSELF BUT YOU. So when you see a failed student, don't count them out yet. Sometimes, their potential is restricted by environmental and societal factors. Don't trust your teachers either right away, there are those who are corrupt and just wait for their paycheck. You know what my study pattern looks like when I was a kid? I watch Dragon Ball first in the afternoon to release stress then study after 5 minutes with no breaks on the contrary of what our teachers/parents say, "study only". Principles/Philosophies are the only things that compose the "invisible barrier" that separate every kind of people cemented by trends like prison loops, preventing them to co-exist if we observe it in a theoretical true peaceful light.

Roose Bolt : It hurt me hearing about his wife

Lucas McDookas : I have watched this speech 9+ times when I need motivation and it brings a tear to my eye every time. Great speech.

NAZAT Hossain : i start to crying unfortunately after listen about his wife death

Şerif ve Adamları : The professor with glasses looks like he's about to give an "F"

Luis Navarro Jr : Working on my doctorate, it was my father who molded me in all ethics and love. I dedicate this to my father; he lost the love of his Life. Happy birthday, dad. Although you're gone, your lessons are ever forgotten. Thank you for challenging me -- as you knew I was a hot-head. All my love!

Rosa : "You keep standing"

Marc Kitkat : I wanna meet this man

Sunny Garg : That raw emotion at 8:28 had me. God bless you, Rick. Thank you for this amazing speech.

Vivek Vedpathak : That's It!! It was the best 10 mins of my day!!

Anonymous : Failure is not falling down. Failure is when you stop getting up.

MarlbBlack : Lost my father recently I bawled at your amazing speech.. He was my best friend.

Chris Morris : The power of the human spirit is simply amazing!!💚💚

Ferg Ferguson : Awesome very inspiring...just wonderful

scientific method perspective : Although I went to school for years upon years, I'll say: doesn't take a science degree to be a scientist and be scientific. Doesn't take a graduate or age to be wise. Look inward and grow your soul and mind. Virtue of excellence.

vinay goswami : Great speech man .....you just all covered your experience in 10 minutes
