Chubby Ninja : I love when he says "You are all equally worthless"

rapturekevin : Imagine this guy in the heavenly army. Lol

Ἀντίγονος : At 00:43 we can clearly see that GySgt. Hartman has two other NCOs standing by the door. But at 01:32 when Cowboy cracks his John Wayne joke and Hartman asks who said it, they don't say anything even though it would be obvious to them.

Northy : This is what today's generation needs.

Ben Wasserman : Rest in Peace R. Lee Ermey. Hopefully Heaven doesn't have a major malfunction

WPGinterceptor : Do you know how LEE got this part.. LEE was hired as a drill instructer actors helper (original drill instructer actor was the guy in the helicopter shooting and sayin they should do a story on him) anyways that guy was originally the drill seargent. LEE was hired to instruct him on how to be a drill sargent.. anyways after the first day of filming LEE said, he cant work with that guy.. LEE then went to the dressing room and put on the original actors drill sargent uniform, came upstairs and started in on the guys.. the Director KUBRICK then turned the camera on and said FILM LEE! A lot of LEES dialogue was NOT on the actors lines.. he IMPROVISED a lot of it.. apparently rumor has it all the crew was trying soo hard not to laugh when he improvised IE: do you suck dics, peter piper etc THE WAR FACE SCENE WAS IMPROVISED BY LEE!!! look at how JOKER got scared when LEE screamed!!! immediately after WHATS YOUR EXCUSE.. ALL IMPROVISED!!! AND slap.. what side was that private pile, slap what side was that.. ALL IMPROVISED and the actors went along with it!!!! TRUE STORY

El Abominación : Meanwhile in the UK an instructor is going to be court martialed because he brought a female soldier to tears. The absolute state of the world.

Cali4life310 : R.I.P Gunny 🙏

شكيب الشمري : Laurence of Arabia...lol

Kapitänleutnant .Thompson : I think many a Parris island or San Diego graduate during this time or shortly after remembers this was the way it was. The DI's weren't brutal but by God you snapped to and got your gear together quickly or you were washed out. I had been out of the Corps for 6 years and went to the theater to see this with my wife and mother in tow. They were mortified and I clearly recall watching this scene and feeling one single bead of sweat drip from my armpit and run down my ribs. Happy memories. Still....Semper Fi. It made us that did it then and now what we are. Marines. Always.

DaReviewer : I remembered on Call of Duty: Ghosts they had his voice as a dlc selection of commentaries, that was the fastest pay I ever did. Still crazy that he’s gone now.

2016BMWi8 : All the dislikers didn't get a Reach Around!!!

Carter Courtney : R.I.P Gunnery Sergeant Hartman (1944 - 2018)

MMNemesis17 : "Did your parents have any children that lived?"🧐🤔🤔😂😂😂😂😂

James Francis : Man the lord has his hands full now. R. I. P. Gunny. You are a true American Patriot and one funny S.O.B.

shagohod666 : Reminds me of my childhood lol. SIR WE MISS YOU SIR!!!!

Richard L : RIP to an American hero. God bless you Ronald Lee Ermey and your service!!! It is with deep sadness that I regret to inform you all that R. Lee Ermey ("The Gunny") passed away this morning from complications of pneumonia. He will be greatly missed by all of us. It is a terrible loss that nobody was prepared for. He has meant so much to so many people. And, it is extremely difficult to truly quantify all of the great things this man has selflessly done for, and on behalf of, our many men and women in uniform. He has also contributed many iconic and indelible characters on film that will live on forever. Gunnery Sergeant Hartman of Full Metal Jacket fame was a hard and principled man. The real R. Lee Ermey was a family man, and a kind and gentle soul. He was generous to everyone around him. And, he especially cared deeply for others in need. There is a quote made famous in Full Metal Jacket. It's actually the Riflemen's Creed. "This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine." There are many Gunny's, but this one was OURS. And, we will honor his memory with hope and kindness. Please support your men and women in uniform. That's what he wanted most of all. Semper Fi, Gunny. Godspeed.
