Plastic Lover : *DANCE TO THE PLASTIC BEAT*

Prasad Kharat : I found Plastic Love in my recommend and clicked on it best decision of my life. I later cane to know that the genre of the song is Kayokyoku and also have discovered other songs in this genre. Plastic Love made me get into whole different genre and that's crazy considering if i hadn't clicked on the video then i might have never been able to experience this genre :)

ladydontekno : I have absolutely no idea why YouTube keeps recommending this to me, but I'm glad that I finally decided to listen.

Lucas Batista : Brings me memories that doesn't exist

Osw719 : Sorry I've played this so many times I broke Youtube

HM2M360 : Why does all the good stuff come from Japan??????

Nory Levi : plastic love > fake love

_Zelda : It's crazy that a Japanese song from almost 40 years ago is now being enjoyed worldwide. Most people in Japan under the age of 35 have never heard of this song, yet here we are, this has been listened to 20 million times on youtube already! Let's play a game, reply with the name of your country and let's see how many different countries this has been listened in. I'm in Australia, that's one.

Dick Trickle : youtube recommendation girl

Throwback Black Cat : Ok, Ok, you win, YouTube. I'll listen to it. Jeesh.

snooze_dogg : The drummer, Jun Aoyama, is father of Hideki Aoyama, the Drum God of BABYMETAL's Kami Band :)

SilentxPhoenix : Nowadays i feel like most people are introduced to Japanese culture through anime. Not saying there's anything wrong with anime, but I just wish more people could see how great Japanese culture is beyond that. I've always been drawn to how a lot of Japanese artist portray life and it's mysteries. It's almost always this bittersweet feeling. The feeling of being crushed under this weight you're carrying, but moving on in spite of it.

Justin Y. : Youtube recommendations, you did good this time.

Bilal Raza : This song always makes me feel something. Something sad, something happy. I can't quite pinpoint it. That's how I know it's a great song.

h. a. : Why is this song so popular abroad? I’m 27 years old japanese. I and my friends love listening to songs of yamashita tatsuro and his wife, takeuchi mariya. They’ve lead the Japanese music of the 1980s and their music is still beautiful for us.some of young people look up to them as J-pop gods now. I went to tatsuro’s live concert one years ago(and mariya was singing as chorus there). It’s very powerful performance I could’n believe they were in their sixties.

Álvaro Arrondo : I was in a disco, a little empty (about 60 people) and I was drunk. I asked a friend, who knews the DJ, to play this song. And he did it. And the 60 people danced Plastic Love. It was 5 o'clock in the morning and I was dancing almost crying. Nobody in that room understood what excited me so much, I did not even understand it... it just feels so magic, so casual, so nostalgic... I have danced Plastic Love, a random night, and I do not know why I think I have fulfilled a small goal in my life.

A̶n̶d̶r̶e̶w̶ : ok youtube i finally watched this are you happy? good cause me too

DJ FACT.50 of Vernian Process : If this is your first time listening to this song or style of music. Welcome! I'm actually pretty new to it myself too. But I would like to help save you some time and give you a brief list of several other artists in this style you might also enjoy listening to. Tatsuro Yamashita (Husband of Mariya Takeuchi), Toshiki Kadomatsu, Anri, Junko Ohashi, Junko Yagami, Momoko Kikuchi, Miki Matsubara, Keiko Kimura, Yurie Kokubo, Meiko Nakahara, K. Sugiyama & Omega Tribe, Haruomi Hosono... and that's really barely scratching the surface of this massive era of music. Thanks for listening and tell everyone you know about City Pop! My own City Pop DJ mix features all of the above artists and more: https://www.mixcloud.com/vernianjosh/city-pop-vol1-chill-uplifting-70s-and-80s-pop-disco-boogie-funk-from-japan/

Hot Dog : am i only one who thinks the intro of this song is astoundingly charming

James Eagel : I've finally figured out the reason why this hasn't been taken down: this is not the original song, but a remix made by some other person. The only versions I was able to find where: - The original album version, which is the source of this remix. - The 12" extended club mix. - The 12" original length remix (the one with the sweet guitar licks). If you look up the song on Discogs, you'll find this 7 minutes version is not listed. I know Discogs is not 100% accurate (especially with obscure foreign releases) but it's still a valid source. Whoever did this remix made the song a million times better by looping the instrumental parts of the song. It's true that not all heroes wear capes.

Piano man : Wtf…20million views to the song 35years ago!? That's amazing!! Good music has no borders👍

Stevem : Damn 15 million already, I made a video about this song today it has quite the history, I hope this song and the citypop trend lead to us all finding more great old music!

PlanB : i was listening September by Earth, Wind & Fire ... and now im here.... this music DONT dissapoints me

Rahul Kulhalli : The song outro is simply fantastic!

Some Yakuza Dad With a Beard : This is the type of music I would listen after a long Friday night driving back to greet the weekend.

Jomar Beran : doesn't anyone feel such a heartwarming and nostalgic vibe looking at this picture? Just seeing her frown in ths moment with her hair out gives me feeling of just removing negativity away and makes me look back on when I was a child in the late 90s. Even though I was born early 90s, the 80s were almost similar with the fashion and watching VHS tapes. This makes me wanna relive my childhood :( and makes me want to fall in Love with a Japanese girl from the 80s I wish I had my teenage years exist

Thomas Owens : This is nostalgic for me and I can't explain why

PADDLEPOP 360 : Why did it get famous in 2018 and not in the 80's

gglyko : 1. Can't find "Plastic Love" on Spotify 2. Search "Playing Games" by "Miki J" 3. ???? 4. PROFIT :)

Jackey-p : Mariya Takeuchi who has an urban, contemporary and stylish impression. In contrast to that impression She was born as a daughter of a traditional and formal accommodation facility called RYOKAN in Japan Founded in 1877 for visiting the IZUMO TAISHA Shrine in Shimane prefecture, which is regarded as one of the sacred places of the Japanese Shintoism. Since she came to Tokyo and went on to university, she has continued music activities in Tokyo, but music activity has calmed down, so she seems to be returning to her RYOKAN often. Recently, in the story of a person who stayed at RYOKAN of her, there are many topics saying that they suddenly encountered Mariya. The name of RYOKAN is " TAKENOYA RYOKAN (竹野屋旅館) ". It is located in the countryside of Japan but the place where Japanese gods gather once a year is also a great location and the food is delicious.

Pet Day Care Center : I love how she's releasing new music on October!

Elzeta : I don't know how I got here, but I don't regret it

Wuncler Laufenbum Cornelius Ulysses Albrecht LVX : Had no idea funk music was big in Japan.

Giorgia Russell : I kept adding this to ‘watch later’ every time I saw it but I finally decided to listen and wow... I’m in love

Isabella Vallejo : COLOMBIA 🇨🇴 💕I'M IN PLASTIC LOVE

Felipe Ferra Gomez : soy mexicano, me encanta Mariya Takeuchi y toda la musica de Japon

Lucas Tavares : that bass line dude, so good

miorama : is everyone also in love with that girl in the pic?

agent136 : Almost 20 million man...I like the timeline we're in.

mike yu : This track is smooth as the girl's looks.

takafumi t : It was divided into the Maria faction(Maria Takeuchi) and the Junko faction (Junko Yagami) in my junior high school age. Of course, I was a Maria sect(^^;
